Hi all this is my first time on here so sorry ahead of time if I mess this up . ok so I went to my gyno last week due to lower abdominal pain due to a bladder sling that went wrong . so long story short he did a pelvic exam to see about the remaining sling that was still their and when he was done he said he wanted me to have a ct scan to check for adhesions wich I have problems with that also anyway so he wanted me to have that scheduled well I just got a call today from the nurse with the appointment date and she said it was at the cancer center . so I'm freaking out now because cancer runs in my family like water in pipes and about a year ago I was in the hospital for severe abdominal pain they did an ultrasound on me and seen huge cysts covering my right overie my left one can't be found . also I forgot to say I had a partial hysterectomy in 2013 they left my tubes and ov . I also have lumps in my breasts I have been haveing alot of pain with bloating and gas and really bad heartburn i feel like I'm pregnant so much so that I went and got a test for it I know its not possible but I took it anyway . well it came up positive so I took another one the same result . so my question is does this sound like cancer should I be worried ? Sorry my post is so long .

Hi Beer,
I had thee feeling of fullness all the time and a lot of noise also like water movement. Pain in my left side, not able to eat because I felt so full. Turned out I had a lot of fluid 26litre was drained. At night I had an awful feeling of tightness under my breasts . Get an ultrasound also. Good luck and keep positive 😉
Hello Lovely,
Well, the one thing none of us can do is second guess whether you have cancer or not, but it sounds like your doctor is on it and you are going to be checked over by the best people for the job. Waiting for appointments and results is really tough, but we are all here for you. I'll be keeping everything crossed that your results come back clear.

Hi Beer, I do recall some years ago when I had a breast lump & I had to go to the cancer unit to have my results. I can't tell you how shocked I was to be there. I really thought I must have cancer but I didn't & my monogram was clear. Maybe they have different surgeries in the cancer centre & not all for cancer patients.
I have cancer now & sometimes I go in the none cancer part of the hospital for cancer related issues.
I don't want to come over rude but you said you have had 2 positive pregnancy test are you 100% sure you are not pregnant because you don't want to have a ct scan if there is any possibility you might be.
Don't worry about a long post you have a lot going on & you need to vent your concerns. I hope you can find out what's going on. Please keep us up dated take care Cindyxx
If she had a partial hysterectomy in 2013 I think she can probably rule out a pregnancy. There can be other reasons for raised hcg levels. Some of them do relate to cancer, but not by any means all of them. I'm sure that it's much more likely that the reason is benign in one so young.

Hi Bj, I thought if they left her tubes & ovaries there would be a chance a pregnancy. Thanks for putting me right & now I know a raised hcg levels doesn't have to be a pregnancy. Take care Cindyxx
Hi Barbara,
As the Fallopian tubes remain it is possible for conception to occur. Depending upon on the type of partial hysterectomy that was carried out, it is possible the uterus is still viable to facilitate implantation for the fertilised egg. Otherwise an ectopic pregnancy could have occurred, resulting in a positive result of a pregnancy test.
I was seen in the fertility clinic to speed things up.
So sometimes where you are seen is not relevant.
Take care x
Go see a gynecological oncologist who will sort this for you. Where are you located?
Your symptoms could be the result of a half dozen or more conditions. Just because you are having a test at a place called "Cancer Center" doesn't mean you have cancer. Try to stay in the now - you are stronger than you think.
