Scan Results

We went in to see the consultant today for the results and mums tumor went down from 42mm x 27mm to 40mm x 17mm. It doesnt seem much at all. I didn't know what to expect but i was hoping for alot less disease half way through treatment. This scares me so much as shes only got 3 more treatments left of chemo and it doesnt look like it's budging fast enough. Her CA125 is at 15 which just baffles me completely. They've mentioned that Nariparib may be an option for maintenance treatment after chemo but they'll discuss this in more detail towards the end of treatment.

I don't think there's a set pattern to how things progress and I don't think there's a standard practice about mid chemo scans, except on trials. I've had four lines of chemo and have only ever had a scan after the end of the whole lot in each case, so try not to worry too much. At least it was a move in the right direction. xx
