HI I personally wouldn't risk it without first taking advice from your dr or onc. I do hope they say it's ok to travel and you get a good break xxx

Hi

Definately get checked out . I know when I was taken ill in Mauritius when diagnosed due to ascites they were very concerned about whether I had fluid on my lungs and I had to have a written report after scan from dr to confirm I didn't have fluid on my lungs before they would let me fly . Air pressure can magnify any problems and also cause more pain and discomfort . Sorry to sound negative but would hate for you to go through all the problems I had trying to fly home . Really hope you get the all clear from your team and they are happy for you to fly . Love and best wishes Kim X

I have two small pleural effusions. One I have had since diagnosis best to check with your team but think it might be ok if it is small and stable

Hi

I guess you could if onc allows but depending how much of it accumulates every day, you might be in trouble by end of hols...

Mine was filling 1mug a day before chemo started. Its 2litres or 2.5 pints a week.

I have been given the go ahead by my oncologist to fly to Canada in two weeks time even though my latest scan shows "new small right pleural effusion... and trace of ascites" . Just hoping everything will be alright..... I will have second line chemo when I return. Check with your doc.... hope it will be ok....🌈 Janet
