Can't offer too much advice since mine sounds like a drain after I have eaten!!.Sorry to be so frank, but are you eating and are your bowel movements normal?😳

Also, are you in any pain?It could be wind, peppermint tea is very good for that, but maybe another lady can help, have a nice time away, best wishes,

Please check with your doctor about your gastric noises. I was making very audible frequent noises which turned out to be large volume ascites. The stomach noises led to my diagnosis.

Hi Lorent, could be down to too much sugar, particularly fructose found in fruits or sorbitol in artificial sweeteners . I,m no expert but as I understand it the growling actually comes from the small intestines and only sounds like it is coming from our stomachs, as muscles contract while mixing liquids and gasses ( funny the things you remember from school lessons! ) Could be that the gut flora is out of balance and there is more bad bacteria than good, so a really good probiotic may help, ( things like actimel or other supermarket brands really don,t have enough active properties in them to make much difference, ). Processed foods that are full of hidden sugars, dead nutrients, emulsifiers, poly all sorts, G.M.O,s, Xanthan gum, and the list goes on, don,t help of course. Nor do conventionally raised meats where animals are routinely fed low dose antibiotics and genetically engineered grains. Chlorinated or fluoridated water is thought by some to be bad, boosting soluble and insoluble fibre good, as are fermented foods which also optimise Vit K. There has been some really interesting research on the immune system/cancer and the role probiotics play as we now spend 90% of our time indoors ( windows shut ) and have inadvertently shut the good guys ( bacteria ) out, and our digestive systems are complaining. Oops sorry!. I,m off Piste again, my new hobby is fermenting foods my sister thinks I,m a mad scientist ( her stomach problems are much better though). As the ladies say, good old fashioned remedies for quick fix, peppermint or ginger ( ginger ale helps everything come out, so may be best to watch when you use it! ).Eating dried crackers is also meant to help. As Tesla pointed out, keep an eye open and run things past your Docs. Wishing you a peaceful, happy few days break. marie. x x
