I have just been to stay at the Penny Brohn centre in Bristol. They are a charity thar runs courses to help people with cancer. I was on the Living well with cancer course. I found the whole experience helpful. We discussed diet lifestyle & exercise.

Hi there, do you have to live near by or can anyone go from outside the area? I have heard of this course but because I live in Southampton thought it might be too far. If anyone can join I will look into it. Thank you for sharing that with us. Take care Cindyxx

Anyone can go Cindy xxx I have been 4 times and it is just incredible there I cannot recommend it enough.

I am glad you have enjoyed it, we also have a retreat area up in Mullingar run by Arc and its residential. I havent been to it but have heard good things about it. But it is a pain to get to it because its so far away

I lived locally , however was speaking to a lady from London who recently did the retreat here in Bristol, so worth enquiringly.. it truly is an amazing experience and is housed in the most beautiful grounds ..

Anyone can go . Our course was residential for 2 days. We gave a donation to the charity.

This sounds good. My health insurers provide a small allowance towards this. I was thinking it might be helpful after my next bout of chemo is finished. Am hoping for an NED outcome, & think it may be of more help to me physiologically x

Yes its definitely part of a journey. They talk about exercise less stress etc.

I've been several times to the Penny Brohn and like you I can't praise them enough for changing my lifestyle. I honestly believe that I would not be here now without their help. You must return. Linda x
