Periods ,lack off please help .paniking myself .

I'm in my early 30s and haven't had a proper period for many years possibly 8 or more ..in the summer I just woke up one day and started to get brown discharge like mucus I went to my doctor and she sent me for blood tests ..then I was at my heaviest weight ..I was told I have a higher then normal level of testosterone and no doubt have PCOS I have had a vaginal ultrasound which showed I had a thicker womb then it should be however this is because the lack of bleeding for so many years ..

The gyno I saw was a lovely young lady and said my body is getting confused about periods due to the hormones and it doesn't know what to do also at that point I joined slimming world ..well I missed my second gyno appt and vaginal scan as I was on holiday and if I'm honest forgot about it all until the 24th this month I had around 7-10days of a brown discharge some blood and basically that kind of thing for those days not overalls heavy awful backache however it has stopped for two days then come back with a clear gel like mucus ..today I am having brown discharge again ..stringy sticky type no smell too it would stomach ache ..I've searched and searched online and over diagnosed myself so many times and basically worry myself .i have a great friend who's many years older then me and has explained because I've lost weight nearly 4 stone and am in a new relationship with vigorous sex my body is getting used to all this .i am more active then my younger years etc ..all this just throws me a bit ..I'm not good with all this period stuff I actually hate it ..I know all women have to go through this but I cannot cope with it .please any advice would be welcome .

Hi, you need to go to your doctor and ask for a swab to be tested. This may not be the right forum for you as this is for ovarian cancer.

I agree you should discuss this with your gp and see what steps he would recommend, This a site for Ovarian Cancer and perhaps isnt of help to you. Dont google speak to a professional

If this is PCOS you need to get it sorted to avoid complications from it .
