My oncologist has just come to tell me that a tumour is in my liver now since my last ct scan - has anyone else had this I am panicking now as it is also on my spleen - he is going to try and get me started on chemo ASAP - but just needs to find out if the fluid I have in my pelvis is puss and needs draining

My last CT scan was last Friday and my surgery was 3 weeks ago - my oncologist wants to get me started on chemo this week if possible but he needs to make sure that the fluid in my pelvis isn't puss if it is then that will have to be drained first
It must feel like everything is moving so fast, do you feel like your consultant has everything in hand and that they have a plan? Have you a specialist nurse you can talk to because I know that would help me. X
Hi Shelly - trying to stay positive - if I hadn't come to hospital with high temp - then the new growth would not have been picked up on CT scan - therefore would just be having two lots of chemo plus 12 Avastin - now I am going to be having four lots of chemo introducing Avastin aftrr the first one and then 12-18 avastin - I did respond well to the chemo
things just sometimes happen that way ... my dad fell off his bike and knocked his chest he went for chest X-ray they found cancer... if he hadn't fallen off his bike they may not have found it in time ... glad you have a plan and your sleeping better ... sending lots of positive vibes and big hugs 🤗
Hi Tina - gosh, that's quite a lot to take on board. But as you said, had you not have had to go into hospital, you may not have found out quite so soon. It sounds also like your team are moving quickly on things for you and making sure you're in the best position possible for treatment. And as you've also said, you respond well to chemo to try and hold onto those positives. I'm still sending you a HUGE virtual ((hug)) tho hun...hoping you get some clarification on things soon. Jemima xx
Oh Teenie, I'm sorry to hear this. Sounds like your oncologist will get you booked on for chemo very soon. I hope your infection clears up and you can leave hospital as well. How are you feeling this morning?
You're right, you have to be grateful that being in hospital now picked up the new growth. That's good news along with your comment that you respond well to chemo. 💐🌹🌷
My Oncologist thinks that it is the cancer which is causing the temperature spikes - but he just wants to rule out any puss collection - before he starts me on chemo.
Hi. In was told there were spots on my liver a year ago. Since then I've been on and off chemo and they haven't grown but arebstill there. Trying weekly taxol next.
