It felt magical walking in the warm mist and my new 2 inch growth of curly hair lapped it up. Mind you I forgot the dog (chemo brain π ) .its amazing how these little milestones have such significance.

Good on you for getting out and showing off your curly hair. Exercise is a good distraction. The poor dog must have been puzzled being left behind but perhaps you can get out later with him or her for five minutes. Yes with Chemo brain anything is possible but it gets better
Two inches of hair! That will suit me but I'm still hoping it won't be curly.......despite all the advice appears to be once curly, always curly.
It is magical being outside without a wig or scarf, isn't it? I hadn't realised how exhilarating it would feel. I can do it in my garden when the neighbours are at work and only the farmer's sheep and cows can see me.
Hope your dog has forgiven you!
I really wanted curly hair but when it came back it was as though I'd had an Afro perm - so frizzy. So disappointed!! However, as it grew it gradually straightened and returned to my usual straight hair. That was 8/9 years ago. However, a few months ago, out of the blue, just some of my hair at the front has decided to wave, especially half of my fringe. Quite bizarre and a real nuisance, especially in damp wind. Like others, I still remember the super feeling of the wind blowing through my hair, when it first grew back - soooo refreshing!! π Xx
Hi January.......I always had curly hair, too. When it grew back, it was very curly in the back, but not so much in the front and on top. Now, it's settled into curly again, but not as curly as before.....which is fine with me. Actually, I'm just glad to have it back again, no matter what it looks like. I wish you good health. Judy V
I have straight hair, and I reeeeeeally want curly hair! What do you think my chances are?!
Envious of your curly hair, Bonnie. Hope your dog forgave you for not going on the walk - he was probably secretly pleased he didn't have to get wet!
I think your chances of curly hair are very good, my natural hair was dead straight, after chemo it grew thro so curly and it stayed that way for two years, I loved it, one of the good things to come out of this horrible disease. Sadly it has now gone back to being straight. Xxx
Same here. Have curly haired brother and sister - naturally blond and thick (their hair) who incidentally hate it and I've got thin poker straight hair. No definitely not jealousπ’π’. That said to walk in the rain with your own hair of any description must have been super. X
I've got curly hair too don't think I will ever b able to take my wig off I've had it cut three times to try and style it but the bugger has a mind of its own xx
I'm debating a use for my flurry of wiry silver hair. A pan scrub springs to mind π
Ooh how lovely! I put my order in for curly when mine grew back - nope, got fine straight again. Not to worry I still appreciate having hair 4 years later! Xxx
It's a lovely feeling. I also found I now have a new love affair with short hair. Before oc wouldn't have dreamed of having such short hair, had to be covering my ears plus a bit more for luck at least! Dogs are very forgiving friends as long as it doesn't happen too often! xx
