Hello. I have slight Lymphodema in my left thigh, I am being referred to the Lymphodema clinic. I have also bought a rebounder and am going to start dry brushing, both are meant to help. General movement gets the lymph moving.
Hello, I have a swollen right ankle (it was that and a slight pain in my right hip which made me first visit my GP). I've had the swollen ankle since early November. My CNS has told me that it will probably disappear once I start my chemo, otherwise I'll be referred to a lymphodema nurse.
My ankle is more swollen in the evening and so is my leg. It aches a bit in the evening but is much less swollen in the mornings and doesn't ache. I elevate the leg to hip height when I'm sitting for any length of time and I've found those socks for long distance flights helpful. Walking also seems to help. I try not to wear normal socks for long on that foot as a large welt appears which increases the aching. I have also been slathering body lotion on the foot, ankle and leg to help the skin cope with being stretched all the time. All the best. Helen
hi
in the first 2 months post diagnosis,, developed one ( not two) severely swollen ankle.
oncologist was not concerned, and it disappeared after about 2 weeks. receiving chemo at the time.
good luck!!
