Itchy skin: Hi just wondering if anyone has had... - My Ovacome
Itchy skin
Hi. I'm on Carbo caleyx and the itch drives me crazy. I have tiny spots that are lethal ! So itchy. I also have large itchy and dry patches under both arms and my boobs.
The skin on my hands is itchy too particularly between my fingers. I've had to remove my rings xo
Hi I'm on Caelyx and use Dermol 500 lotion which was prescribed by my oncologist, it helps me, I get itchy skin, mainly my hands, chest and under my boobs, I just kept those areas well moisturised.
Hope it helps x
I found Diprobase very helpful. Mine was prescribed by my doctor but I think you can also buy it over the counter.
Good luck x
I've been using udderly cream that I got on Amazon. It was recommended to me by a few people on this treatment xo

Hello Carolyn. My Mum had 6 Caelyx (2nd line). After the third dose her hands were so sore and cracked that she booked an appointment to see the onc. He reduced the dose by 20% and it did the trick. She used Cows' Udder Cream to moisturise her itchy skin. She also had sore feet and the skin around her armpits and other places was itchy, but her hands were the worst. She kept ice packs in the freezer and held them (with a cover!) which relieved the itching loads. She bought two small ones and took them with her when she went out, in a insulated pack to keep them frozen. Also kept them in the bedroom at night. After the final Caelyx on 21 July 15 she was put on 'watch and wait' for three months. At her next check up the CA125 had gone down from around 250 to 159 and the little tumours had actually shrunk and stayed put! She has been on 'watch and wait' for another three months and is waiting for an appointment from the onc which should be some time in January. She's obviously nervous but we have to hope that things are OK in there. She looks and feels well. I just find it hard to believe she has cancer sometimes. Sorry I rambled on a bit there!!
Best wishes. Jane x
