Ca125 test results

Hi have tryed to ring g my gyn today for results to ca125 test was told there not allowed to give results over phone that she will be sending me out a letter today is this normal and dose this mean all came back ok feeling confused x

My goodness, how hard to hear that from your GP & then waiting again until the letter arrives.

Thankfully, my GP is very approachable and would call me with results .

Anyway, hope all results are clear .

Hi, I think it might depend on who you spoke to, was it the receptionist/secretary? Maybe they're not allowed to give out results. I can't say for certain as I've never asked for mine over the phone I usually wait until my next appointment. I was

I work in a hospital & you are not allowed to give results out over the phone as you never know if you are talking to the person involved. Any one could say they are you. I hope the results are good news.

Yes this is normal if it's the receptionist/assistant. One time I got a dufus who told me results but couldn't tell me what they meant and couldn't get me an appointment for a week...that's worse.

If you have a gynae specialist nurse they can give you the result over the phone if they are sure that they are speaking to the patient.Mine have always been willing to do that but after I had got to know them and I don't know whether they would do it with all patients.Iwould always rather know and hate waiting. Vivxx.

Can you make an appt? Terrible to have to wait and even worse to receive a letter if it is positive. Although, I know none of my Dr would have given me a cancer diagnosis through a letter. Hoping you have received it and it is negative!!!
