Hi Ladies as you may recall, I had a hip tumour last April after having a lot of pain in my groin. So had this famous stereotactic treatment. The pain didn't go away so really had to explain to my Oncologist how tiring it was and how immobile I was getting. So got listened to and had Mri which was fluid in thigh and inflammation and pain was nerve involvement. So then recommended OT in hospital and further petscan. I have been to OT who taped my thigh and now wearing compression tights. Petscan last Thursday and Radiologist who read it said yes inflammation more than likely due to the stereotactic radiotherapy. But team are now getting hospital Radiologist to re read the scan at the MDT tomorrow, Team says I had no benefit from Oxycodone and to get something for nerve pain, My gp refuses to change meds until I get a confirmed diagnosis. So got more Oxycodone with added Naproxen. All working reasonably well until gynae Nurse says NO, stop all this and take Panadol, So ye can see why I am rather confused and somehow annoyed at this long running saga. I have got to the stage that I wont mind a lot if team suggests chemo. In the meantime, the vile stinging pain is abating so the physio and OT must be doing some good, My swelling is going down as well, So have to continue with taping five days on, one day off and try and walk more than I had been doing. This is coming on slowly but surely. I cannot recall anyone getting a recurrence in the thigh, then last year couldn't recall anyone getting a recurrence in hip muscle. My gp thinks that there is debris causing the inflammation in my thigh.
So hoping by this time tomorrow, I will have answers. I find it frustrating because other recurrences I could walk off the upset but with this I haven't been able to walk fast enough. At times I feel I am as slow as a snail,
