I don't know the situation in Ireland, but pretty much that's so in England unless you can get on a trial which includes it.

Hi,

Yes, to get olaparib you need to be Brca positive. Otherwise doctors are prescribing avastin.

There may be a posibility that oncologists may extend the drug to non braca, it is in the pipe line but how far down is another thing. There are always studies to improve the drugs available Breakthrough Cancer in Cork and Trinity College Dublin are currently involved in studies and research. Do speak to your Oncologist on what is available Marn
