Half a knee half a knee now cured? Or is the consultant massaging the NHS figures?
Saw a surgeon two years ago who wanted to put in two half knees, I asked if there was anything else, he said he would refer me to another surgeon that did
osteotomy
surgery. Yesterday I saw him and was told that I am now cured as there is no swelling, so no requirement for surgery.

Mosaicplasty or knock knees?
He thought I would benefit from high tibial
osteotomy
, then said he would refer me to a different consultant. I now have a clinic appointment in November, so just over two years or three years including the time waiting for the first clinic.

Severe nerve pain after Lumbar Spine Osteotomy. Help!
I’m new here but sadly like a lot of people not new to pain! At the moment my main concern is nerve pain in my left thigh after Spine surgery, take max dose of Gabapentin & it does nothing for it. Part of the thigh is numb, part feels like it’s on fire constantly & then I also get a sudden pain so severe

Has anyone had a Distal Femoral Osteotomy ?
I had a Distal Femoral
Osteotomy
almost 4 months ago due to Osteoarthritis in both knees, with a view to another 10 years before needing knee replacements. (I am 50) I wondered if any one else has had this op and what their results have been.

How to get an osteotomy on the NHS?
After severe facial bone loss due to a severe reaction to a cosmetic substance; I have been advised by a cosmetic surgeon that
osteotomy
(BASSO and Lefort) will be the only way to repair the damage. Apparently it is very rare for this surgery to be performed privately in the UK.

anxious about knee ops.
I also just wonder how I am going to cope with the recovery/rehabilitation.It just feels such a lot to have to deal with but I know it has to be done. 16 years ago I underwent a major
Osteotomy
/Anterior Cruciate repair on my right knee, which was partially successful in that it repaired my knee and straightened

My journey
My only options now aged 35 going on 36 are to go down the route of an
Osteotomy
and then if that fails a knee replacement - something my consultant will not consider under the age of 50. My only options at the moment are a support brace and paracetamol and codiene.

High tibial osteotomy
Has anyone had a high tibial
osteotomy
? I find it difficult to speak to anyone who has even heard of it let alone had one. I am now in the recovery phase from the op but would be very interested to hear from anyone who has had one or is considering one

My Current Situation
I get a tibial
osteotomy
, plus a "reconstruction" of my quad muscle, during which it's cut apart and attached to different parts in a last resort effort to keep the damn thing from sliding apart every few weeks. (It works.

Hello & question
The portion of my femur below the
osteotomy
has a band of firmness under the swelling. I really don't know what is going on. Has anyone had a rotational
osteotomy
of their femur and had it give them problems nearly a decade after the surgery?
