What is the feeling of a lump in your throat that is a common symptom of gastric reflux?
Have you heard of the iQuoro device? It must be about swallowing. I do find doing an exaggerated swallow can often clear the ‘lump’.

Globus
Hi, it could be Globus sensation, which is also associated with anxiety. I have tried an Iqoro device but it made my reflux symptoms worse. Regards.
That lump in your throat is called a globus. It can shift from place to place within your throat. It’s part of atypical gastric reflux It’s usually the last thing to go with treated reflux.
What do you mean by atypical and ‘the last thing to go’ please?
Not everyone experiences gastric reflux in the same way. I never had the sensation of heartburn. What I did have however was terrible chest, stomach and back pain along with the globus sensation. I have been under treatment for about a year and a half with a gastroenterologist. Medication that finally started to resolve the reflux was esomeprazole in the morning and famotidine in the evening. I was also taking sucralfate 4x a day. The globus sensation finally left after about six months on these meds. It took a long while after I found the right combination of drugs to relieve it. Hope you find the right regimen.
"Have you heard of the iQuoro device?"
I bought this very expensive piece of plastic for £150 that could not have cost more than £1 to make. Basically a useless joke that had not effect whatsoever. The clinical evidence seems to have been conducted by the people selling the device. Not a good idea. Beware - it's a con.
The company advertising claims the device strengthens the LES muscles.
