occasionally ( say once a month at most) I get a short spell of pulse like ripples of discomfort in chest ( normally left side). They last 2/3 seconds at most and over say a 10 min period. They aren’t always associated with just having eaten/drink and are t accompanied by sternum pain. I have had an endoscopy and that has shown I have chronic oesophagatis but it’s only that and nothing sinister. A cardiac cause has also been ruled out although I have just had open heart surgery to repair my aorta. But the pulse pain I am talking about has been going on for last two years. I am well used to acid reflux especially in nights but this feels different. If totally behind sternum and classic heartburn I wouldn’t be asking. But it radiates sometimes up the chest and sometimes across but stays in same place for the 10 mins. It’s not accompanied by any other symptoms. Many thanks for reading

Short pulse like pain in chest
I had something similar when I had acid reflux, I put it down to anxiety. Can be very disconcerting anything to do with chest pain/sensations however I would take comfort in your clear test results. If the sensations coincide with feeling anxious or worried then it's likely to be anxiety.
thanks jayby. It seems much more random than that. Can you say a little more about what the sensations felt like and where they were
Of course, lots of different sensations but they sometimes felt like ripples or the feeling something was moving under my chest. Tightness or the sudden feeling of deflation. Also burning or pain behind my sternum. I also had pain that radiated up into my upper back and shoulders when it was at its worst. I highly recommend acupuncture for reducing anxious.
I've suffered with arrythmias and sharp pains in chest too, breathlessness, and fast heartbeat. I just learned from a man on Youtube that certain things can deplete your B12stores rather quickly. It is different for everyone. He said you need to take loading doses whenever that happens. Its like starting all over and helping your body heal all over again when it has run out of B12. I tried it yesterday and today as I have been under stress and it is helping enough for me to notice. I've taken three shots today. 2 shots weekly have not been enough for me. I also suffer from GERD but have recently learned that when your low on B12 stores all your bodily functions slow down and malfunction so to speak. I've had many organs scanned etc. because I am constantly suffering from mystery illnesses, but al my scans come up normal and only show healthy organs. So my new approach is going to be this dose loading whenever my body is under stress of any kind. good or bad. So far I'm seeing slight improvement, but I let it get to far, and as you all know healing takes time. And apparently drinking any sort of alcohol destroys your b12 stores almost immediately. That a little nugget that is important.
thank you. How do you know if your B12 is low and how do you take it. Does it interfere with other meds as I am on apixiban , ramipril and furosemide .
