I've had acid reflux for around 2 years, mainly early days it was just a lump in throat feeling, leading to coughing and fatigue. I got healthier and it did help a lot but would come back now and again. For the past week or so though its progressed, assuming these other symptoms are that. I'm intrigued to know what the exact pains, sensations and feeling people have are like, as there are so many potential causes its hard to fully diagnose (my bloods and ecg were ok).
I have a bad stomach which seems to move around, like bad cramp but also like a stitch feeling in lower ribs, could be either side but when it started was mainly left.
I've been having quite bad chest pain, which does go, but doesn't seem to be when just ate or anything. It feels more like pulled muscle burn or someone pulling at chest hairs rather than deep inside chest. It's not like any heart burn I've experienced before. Again, seems to happen at any random point in chest to upper abs.
I've found articles online that suggest it's normal for this but I cannot find what exactly they might feel like, hence my visit here.

I feel retrosternal chest pain. Not deep. Obviously oesophageal. Sometimes it goes on all day, I had a Gastroscopy three days ago. Small sliding hiatal hernia with grade A oesophagitis. Trying the usual stuff like avoiding foods, eating smaller meals, nothing for three hours before bedtime, raising head of the bed. I’ve added melatonin and aloe vera juice. Already seen an improvement
My reflux is cured I had a hiatus hernia and was given Fundoplication Surgery for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
my symptoms were
coughing getting up in the night, disturbed sleep, being sick, gruff voice due to the burning of the acid on my voice box. Barrats The PPI medication gave me anaemia. I’m asthmatic so the acid was spilling into my lungs causing trips to hospital. All better now. Kindest Lyn
Thank you for the replies. The symptoms vary so much it makes it hard to really drill down on it.
I don;t have any issues sleeping or sinkness or even acid taste (at least not strong), but get random pain across the day. I have a suspicion I have hiatus hernia as well. I felt a pop in my left side when exercising several months ago, maybe without realising, it was that.
Is this something you felt happen (in the sense, you felt it happen at the time it likely did)? Or just something without your knowledge?
P.S Great to hear you are better now Lyn, and great news your changes seem to be working Lost in space.
