Physio tomorrow
My our bodies really do know to keep us down. I can only speak off my experience with physio it did help me. Its worth a go. It may work!!!!! xx
Hi I am also starting an 8 week course of health and motion with a group at the hospital tomorrowI, hoping I will get the exercises to helping my shoulders.good, luck to you too Michelle xxx
Thanks your both wright I'll give it a go I don't have anything to loose
I found the physio helpful, as have two discs gone in my back from OA, and over time I had lost a lot of movement as well as being hellishly painful. Since then I've found the exercises they gave me for the back are great..and I really feel it if I don't do them. It's hard sometimes getting motivated to do them, and they take at least 30 mins a day, but it's worth it. So hope helps you too. Polly
I wish more people had your attitude & that medics took more time to explain that not moving joints....even when they are really hurting .....only prolongs the agony......supple joints are less painful & physical therapy correctly done cane bring great relief.
Just realised my posts have just morphed back to 5 years ago!!!!
Why does that happen I wonder?
For the same strange reason that I suddenly get junk mail about buying carpets... the internet makes weird links.
I do get a bit boring about the fact that so many complaints could be helped by gentle and appropriate exercise. As you obviously know, joints are surrounded by muscles and tendons and stuff. If they are weak your poor arthritic joint has to do more work, and hurts more...
Hi, hh
I was made acutely aware of the benefits of physio years ago.....way before the dreaded RA struck.
I broke my ankle & tore knee ligaments in a skiing accident. At the same time a friend tripped over her dog(!) & also broke her ankle.
My job entailed a lot of walking & being fit so I attended physio diligently.....my friend did not work & regarded it as a waste of time.
Despite RA I have had no further problems with my ankle......my friend now walks with a stick & has constant pain.....& has the good grace to admit she was foolish.
Enough said!
Keep positive hun, hope it works for you x
