Hi Everyone, well i thought i would share some good news with you all, and give you some positive news, As you know i had my steroid injection a week ago today and i have been able for the first time in 8 months to walk up and down the stairs properly, I am slow but what a different this injection has made, My knee is still a bit swollen, but now that i can start doing excises i am hoping to see a big improvement, i even wore my boots that have a little heal on them today, i have only worn them twice since i brought them:)))), i did have some rotten side affects from having the injection and the increase of the MTX which was from 15 to 20mg, but with how i am feeling today it does seem worth it, I am hoping it continues, I also had a liver scan today, and more good news i have the all clear and they believe it is just the meds that are making my ALT results go up and down, Also it has been 8 weeks since i have had a cigarette,..... how about that then....Thank you all for your support, Hoping you are having a good day like me xxxxx
Really having a good day....: Hi Everyone, well i... - NRAS
Really having a good day....
Brilliant news and so well done for quitting smoking - what a star you are!
Pleased for you and majorly impressed that you're a smoke free zone. I used my first steroid injections to strengthen my knees too & they have never been as stiff again as they were before it. And wearing nice shoes for the first time in ages - been there too, it feels really good, doesn't it - like being a proper grown-up woman again! Sounds like you are having fun & it's great you are feeling so much better. Long may it last!

Thanks, Well that is good to know that hopefully i won't have so much stiffness in this knee again as long as i do the physio regularly, I do believe in regular excise because it does help your joints, but since being diagnosed and having so much pain in it, i just haven't felt or could excise it, So i will pace myself, as long as i know i am doing what the rheumy nurse tells me i know i am doing as much as i can to improve my mobility, xxxx
good news shirl realy proud of you with the fags thats made a difference i thing to you
i went to walk in centre yesterday

Thank you Cris for that heart warming message it means a lot, I think a lot of my friends are surprised how i have given up concerning what i am going though, It's just when i was diagnosed with this i relished that i need to make some changes to my life style if i am going to improve my condition, excepting this condition was really hard like it is for everyone, but if i feel i am doing my best to improve my condition i know i am doing my best, Take care xxx
yes you have really made some positive changes and can celebrate your success not too much wine in your celebrations though keep it up. I am really pleased for you in that you finally seem to have turned the corner and are starting to feel better and hope it continues for a long time, forever might be a bit too much to hope for but that would be wonderful.
