HI to today is my rest day from work courtesy of phased return.. which will come to an

ubrupt end soon!!. any way have paid for six sessions of hydrotherapy, today was my 2nd one water was bliss!, my nhs trust give you six free then you have to pay per block of six £25.00. water was lovely and warm so set about doing some exercises.

Then went into town, I have french students staying til tomorrow morning and get a bit of pocket money for having them (they came v late sun night!! so it was straight to Macdonalds!!! well they eat that sort of thing. I had eaten at about 6.30 but they came at 8.30 so too late too cook and settle them in so MacD easy but expensive option..

Cooked mon night for them and had my french native neighbour round too, my french is reasonable but hers being french is better!!,

They go out during the day I drop them to catch coach in morning before work and they go to oxford or warwick castle, london etc for days ourt, then I get them tea. last night was meant to go to cinema with my french neighbour and them but was unwell so french neighbour steph went on her own with them ,it would have been four off us.

I needed to rest and chill and would have been asleep in the cinerma!!.

It was sunny this morning in town, and I did some daring things first went to Iceland as in the supermarket. not the country!!, as lady at hydro said they deliver,

I went round with a trolley got my stuff(only two items were actually frozen items!) they do bread, chilled, fruit, veg and household, and got to till, said I wanted it delivered, girl packed it into red trunk baskets

For my address told me delivery was between 12.00 and 2.00, ( the store is in town with no parking!!), if you spend over £25.00 delivery is Free !, I Spent £27.98.

Then saw a sign saying careers fare so popped in . have signed up for lifelong learning?Cv building? and starting your own business?

Got home tired but satisified.

I can really recommend hydrotherapy. I felt that it got me back to be able to exercise again after loss of muscles from not exercise, steroids, etc. To start with I couldn't even push the woggle (the foam roll) under the water, but by the end of six sessions I was ready to move on.

I've gone to aqua-fit in the local pool ever since to keep up the exercises and I feel so good afterwards, it's really worth the effort of getting there, getting undressed and dressed afterwards.

I was really surprised that so many people didn't turn up for their hydrotherapy sessions - I was often the only one in the pool.I think a lot of people are afraid to try it and don't like the water, but it's like moving in a big warm bath - and very safe with one physio in the water, another by the side of the pool.

well done alison sounds like you are having a good day today. Good for you. I would like to try hydrotherapy how do i find out if my pool do it? I have heard some good reviews on it suppose to really help with the movement of joints and its gentle exercise so you wont hurt yourself. Let us know how you get on. :)) x

my hospital has a hydro pool, but some leisure centres and schools for children for disabilties have them too and hire them out xx
