A few things which I try not to take for granted now:The sun shining, my little cat curled up on my lap, a bowl of hot soup, an act of kindness, any achievement(however small), when things go right, a sense of peace, feeling comfortable, communication with the outside world!

Little things that I now value
So true.....and never was there a time when these things should be valued more so.
To add, family, the garden, birds, Netflix, Amazon( we all need some odd stuff sometimes), supermarket deliveries, a warm house, food, toilet rolls (my neighbour works for Andrex), pansies in the garden, a butcher that delivers, the farm shop, chocolate and today a visit to the local fudge emporium in Rochester. A £10 mix up will last till Christmas providing my hiding place is not discovered. lol x
Yes, all of those. I don’t know what I would do now without supermarket deliveries, have noticed the slots becoming a bit scarce again.
Good luck with the fudge lasting till Christmas.😇
Well some has gone, and got another to add to your list a great tousled haircut today. I love the new look , just wash and ruffle and it sticks up all over the place, very trendy and I feel years younger. Now where is the debit card for a spot of internet shopping as I've lost a couple of steroid pounds and need some new jeans. lol xx
It’s very moorish isn’t it.
That’s great for morale, just need to add some new clothes now for a brand new look😃
I’ve just spent a considerable amount on new 🤓 glasses today and been told I also have blepharitis to add to my growing list of ailments☹️
I last year bought some Lundberg specs. , Danish and so hot ! Anyway I picked up specs. trendy and two tone to drive back over bridge to think hang on this blue and yellow'ish trendy colour scheme is very popular as their painting Rochester Bridge those colours. Shock, horror and much amusement to the husband, who told everyone.....
The ability to take joy from small things is truly a blessing and a talent that is well worth fostering. I'm currently admiring the very confused Christmas cactus blossoming with shocking pink flamboyant flowers
I have a Christmas cactus, the flowers are really beautiful when I manage to get the conditions right for it to give me flowers. Are you feeding yours?
No, I don't feed them at this time of year. I save that for Spring. I'm ashamed to say they thrive on neglect and blossom when light levels are poor.
I think mine has gone into shock with my move so will see if it flowers this time! I have an Easter one too which flowers bright red usually.
They do bring a welcome blaze of colour to a home don’t they.
Now that is a uplifting post darling.xxx
This virus has certainly made us take stock of what is really important in our lives. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Yep, couldn't agree more - it's good to think about things we appreciate- especially at the moment! x
It’s the little things that do you good my mum used to say! I used to think big things were better as a child but now I get it!
Simple pleasures help you through dark times. Best of luck everyone for the next month.
That’s so lovely, thank you for that. Gratitude speaks volumes xxl
A simpler life has become so much more important in recent months. I do hope we do not loose our acknowledgement of how important these simple things are.
Very true. Generally, we use to take thing for granted! Now, most of the time have to keep myself home and go out only with mask on. Hope the virus issue can be over soon.
Hello Amy_Lee, I am the same so just using the time to catch up on chores when I feel able and resting and tlc when not. Hope so but not so sure.😕
So true
