I saw an orthopaedic surgeon today about a nodule on the base of my foot which is causing my foot to be at an angle. He suggests I leave the nodule alone as if he operates it is very likely to return & then I would have to deal with a painful cut & the return of the nodule.
Has anyone else had this & how have you dealt with it. Walking on an angle is causing me pain in my ankle, knee & hip

hello Widget,i have a nodule on the arch of my foot about the size of a large pea, havnt been given any treat ment for it,I You dont say were it is on your foot is it very large.I do see a chiropodist regulary, its not causing me much trouble.Do you see a chiropodist, would insoles not help at all. hope you get it sorted soon.
I had a large callous & bone pointing down on the ball of my foot for years and I found that wearing callous cushions helped me a lot. They are padded circles with a hole in the middle that protect the callous/nodule. I eventually had my right foot reconstructed and the problem is gone forever, as my Dr took those bones out-so they can never dislocate again.
