Hi, I think it was about a month for all the paper work to get sorted and healthcare at home to contact me with dates for the nurse to make her visit. Two visits by the nurse to check everything was ok and that was it. I am now twelve weeks in and all was going ok, till I got a virus at Christmas so now having a week off it. Good luck hope it works for you. Lou x

Yes, it was roughly a month for me too. The Healthcare at Home nurse came to see me first and explained about deliveries etc and how to use the Medipen. My practice nurse did the first 2 weeks of injections and then observed me doing them at the surgery so she was satisfied I could manage. The Healthcare at Home nurse said he would always come out if I ran into problems.

I have now been on Enbrel almost 3 years with no problems. good luck. Lavendarlady x

Hi Allanah - hope the op went ok. I haven't done much on here recently either - been too busy doing other stuff.

I am down with the bug which is going around and seeing the GP this morning as having problems breathing, and coughing for England. Not had a lot of sleep this last few nights as a result. Consequently not been able to take my MTX or Enbrel this week. LL x

It took two months for me but the Rheumy nurses saw me every week and I went in to give my own injection. I have a bad habit of reacting to drugs. But no problems for me with Enbrel, it just wasn't strong enough so I went onto Humira ,healthcare at home are very helpful, hope it goes well Axx

Hi, I was told that I'd been accepted on the Thursday, by the following Monday, the nurse had came showed me what to do, did it, done the paperwork and was gone within about 11/2hrs. She was very thorough, offered to come the followingb week while I did the injection, but I declined her offer as I knew I'd be ok, she left me her mobile number incase I changed my mind.Healthcare are very helpful, take care
