OUCH ! just when I was beginning to have a good day.

Some one comes along to spoil it lol, Yesterday I was feeling pretty good , the morning went really good not quite painfree but not far from.

I went to collect my wife and friend (ladies who lunch) lol when I was about 500 yards from the pick up and BANG CRUNCH CRACKLE, some silly sod crashed into my lovely car.

I managed to phone my wife who came running down the raod to where I was by this time the other driver came over to swap insurance and what have you, the agony was bad and the shock was something I hadnt seen for a long long time, I was white as a sheet and shaking like a leaf in the autumn, my wife called an ambulance and took me to hospital for checks and with being a Diabetic they stuck the needle in my finger to see if my sugars were low, fortunately they were pretty good, I left Hospital 3 hours later with whiplash and a lot of other pains in my neck, shoulder, left arm and a pretty bad pain in my back.

I arrived home and the other drivers insurance company called me to say they had accepted all the blame, YEEESSSSSS I thought no hastle and the other driver phoned to ask how I was and also to say sorry. I thought that was nice of him as it was his fault. I called Motorbility and reported it to them and they will sort it all out.

How good is that? no need to try and prove the fault of the crash they accept blame, Now I can relax again untill this pain goes away whitch I m told could last a few weeks, not like I dont have enough pain as it is. lol, anyway Im glad I wont need to stress about the car and I can get on with the pain and the rest of the week.

Thank you for listening.

hello Philip

sorry to hear about your pain but aint it nice to see that everybody behaved honourably so you don't have the stress of running around trying to get proof that the fault lay with the other driver, gives me faith in the goodness of people (most of the time) but am sorry about your car and your bones...

Oh Philip i'm so sorry your suffering. The good news is it will get sorted out quickly and while your car is being repaired you will have the use of another motarbility car. Its the pain your suffering that won't go away in a hurry thats more of a worry, glad you went to hospital though. I hope your soon on the mend. sending thoughts your way for a speedy recover. Get well soon. sylvia.

Philip, so sorry to hear about your accident. It is such a shock to the system even if you don't have any injuries. I hope you are getting treatment for the whiplash etc even if only pain killers. You might need to see the physio/chiropractor for help to avoid problems in the future,.

I whiplashed my neck some years ago when some cretin ran into the back of my husband's car. Spent a month in a neck brace having damaged two vertebrae in my spine. Then a few years later, some silly girl going too fast to stop ran into us at a T junction (we were stationery) and shunted us right across the road - so whiplash again.

While the insurance claim is going through for injury, you may well have to see the other driver's insurance company's specialist re your neck for their report as they will need to know what lasting problems you may end up with. Your own insurance company will also arrange for you to see their specialist for a report. Do see your GP is you get any more discomfort and pain as they can also do a report for your insurance company as will the hospital if asked.

Good luck and hope it all gets sorted quickly. LavendarLady x

Hope your injuries settle soon. pleased to hear its being sorted out so well insurance wise xx
