Anyone else in the uk joints giving them merry hell with this weather? Lovely day yesterday sun shining nice breeze I felt great. Woke up in the night thunderstorms torrential rain and humid . My hands and feet are on fire and my joints are screaming. Hit the pain killers before I got out of bed π€¬π€¬π€¬π«
Bloody weather !!!!!!!: Anyone else in the uk joints... - NRAS
Bloody weather !!!!!!!
The heat is a big problem for me. I prefer cooler weather, but I've never been a sun worshipper.
Same here but with cool breeze yesterday my body was happy. Warm and sticky this morning havoc on my joints π«
Yes swollen fingers hot joints my eyes have been a lot better with eye drops from eye clinic hyloforte not hurting so much in a morning they are quite expensive but at least I get my script free not sure ant ointment but time will tell mabe ππ€©
High humidity doesn't suit my joints at all and makes me feel dreadful too.
Yes not looking forward to a whole week of rain and the likely effect on joints, which are already playing up. The only good news is not having to struggle to water the plants in the garden for a while ...
Yes a gorgeous day yesterday, love that kind of weather but humidity is rising today and already feeling it π«
Had a tiny walk yesterday in the local park can do about 15 min before a sit down, lovely weather sat and enjoyed the sun. Today exhausted and swollen fingers and heaviness. But I have retuximab infusion tomorrow so glad about that.
Yep! A high pain day for me. My joints are burning and I am feeling exhausted. My superpower is predicting the weather before getting out of bed in the morning! I am Barometer Woman! Cloudy/wet weather is so painful for me. I notice a decrease in my joint pain if we drive somewhere away from the clouds and feel it increasing as we re enter unsettled areas.
Yeah me too, fingers and ankle very painful today.
Come to Costa Del Scotland and sample the delights of constant, or so it seems, agony, induced by the semi-permanent cloud cover and rain.
It's been a terrible Summer and my garden has been telling me (trees and shrubs overladen with berries, courtesy of Mother Nature, bursting with goodness to feed her creatures) that this Winter will be horrific. :{
At least the severe drop in temperatures will ease the inflammations slightly.
I think I've only slept right through the night on four occasions, since March and those were due to lashings of alcohol.
My Rheumy and GP describe it as self medicating.
I call it getting pi**ed.
At the moment and for the last three or so weeks I manage an hour, maybe two with several hours in between, before managing another nap, but tonight the booze and I shall be snoring our little heads off, as I see my rheumy nurse later today and fully intend having a long sleep, before progressing with any new treatment tomorrow.
Strangely, neither my head rheumy, her minions or the nurses linked our conditions to moisture and only thought we suffered in bad, cold weather.
Don't know about anyone else, but it gives me some satisfaction to be able to sneer at weather reporters, knowing the predictions for even the next day, let alone longer periods are way off target!
I take victories wherever I find them.
I guess it's down to us to educate the unenlightened. Lol.
Glad your back dembones youβve been very quiet recently missed your satirical muses ππππ
That's jolly nice of you, I must say.
Off my meds, basically. Lol.
Sulf gaves me nausea, an eye problem and something else I've forgotten.
Naproxen, I'm 98% certain, has given me a stomach ulcer and the Emoprozole, intended to counteract the first two, let me down badly and gave me kidney problems...so I knocked them on the head and decided to go for four of a kind and give up the Trams at the same time.
Three weeks of high jinks, sharp indrawals of breath, gasps of pain, muffled screams, indignant yells, frustrated shouts and unabashed yodels of agony.
I imagine my neighbours will be delighted to see me staggering home drunk tonight, knowing they and I will all have a good night's rest.
I expect barmaids throughout the city centre will send prayers of thanks heavenwards, as I singlehandedly do my utmost to drink the alcohol industry back into the black, staving off the upcoming recession for at least several hours. Lol.
Rheumy nurse a 3pm, first pub by 5pm at most.
Life is for living. :;
Keep living dembones . I would hoard your drink brexit is coming!!!!!! ππππbound to be shortages.
Drinks are for drinking!
Actually, this will likely be my last binge for quite some while.
I'd better start saving up, as the next will be more costly, whether we leave or not. Lol.
Yep as I expected I had to get another steroid injection as hands (and other joints) already playing up with this weather.
Stocking up on the gin ....
