Still in a flare....

Well here i am sitting at my laptop feeling pretty crappy. I have blocked sinuses and i have been given a nasal spray. What is surprising is the dr didn't say the pain round my eyes was ra. I have been up since four this morning. I am so tired . Just another thing i have to put up with, never mind due to my throat and mouth being sore its a good excuse to suck on callipos...

Yesterday i had another blood test done and i am still in a flare. My crp has gone from 17 back to 26. My rheumy told me this morning when i rang to tell her i had had the blood test. I wonder when things will get back on an even keel. I have hubby at home now so i can rest a bit more, thats all i seem to do though. I don't think i will ever work again.

I have just spent some time this afternoon topping and tailing runner beans for hubby and then i put them through the slicer ready for him to blanch them and freeze them. Our runner beans this year have gone ballistic. We can't keep up with them there is so many of them. Marrows and courgettes are going crazy as well. Our freezer will be full of just vegetables at this rate.

Sorry to hear you continue to be in more pain, hope the nasal spray brings relief soon. As for your vegs, wow! I grow some veg in pots& in raised bed. What with the rain & coastal gales they have had to struggle. Never the less cucumbers, toms, peppers, new spuds,lettuce& beetroot have made a valiant effort, The taste of home grown can not be beaten can it?

I have just come home from my cousin's funeral, he was a little older than me so a few tears have been shed. I am now in my chair with cuppa & catching up with the blogs which has brought me some peace in my heart. I now realise how this community with all the ups & downs shared have become an extended family.

I would be very lonely if it wasn't for this place i can tell you. You can die in our close and nobody would know about it(it has been proved that it happens). It is very upsetting isn't it when someone close in age to you dies,it brings home to us our own mortality doesn't it.

You are doing well to grow so much vege on the coast.

Poor you Sylvi hope you will be feeling better soon,maybe your flare is bad because you have this sinuses. Problem, but really hope your feeling more lime yourself. Soon and enjoy the garden and veg xxx

Thank you ladies, i have had a good nights sleep which is good news for me. I didn't come down here at all last night, which is good news. My throat feels like sandpaper as well. I think the nasal spray has started to break things up,i hope. I have just to make sure it doesn't go onto my chest,which with my track record this year is a possibility. I am steaming with my sauna too to help myself.

My flare is really giving me gype today. My fingers are really painful this morning. I wonder when it is all going to end.
