Well, happy holidays. The good part of the holiday was i met LISA and a nicer person you could wish to meet. We will meet up later in the week.On sunday the fuse in my scooter blew and it has been nothing but trouble ever since. It won't charge up,doesn't matter what we do. In the end there is a mobility store in hayle and they have it now, until tomorrow to find out what the problem is. I think when it fused it done the batteries in.
Cornwall is a lovely place to visit if only the sun will come out and the rain will stop. The other night when i couldn't sleep i lay awake listening to some owls hooting and going on. I think there were two types out there as they were different sounds. We went to Penzance today, but the scooter died on me so we had to come back.. I am hoping the rest of the holiday picks up.
Hope you are all rainless where ever you are. xxx

So glad you had a good time, meeting friends and listening to the local wildlife. When we were away we could hear bull frogs all night, kept us awake but amazing!! Hope you get that scooter fixed soon love Axx
Oh dear about the scooter Sylvi - and the rain. Here it is cold and windy and wet too but as it's a thousand miles north of where you are it's probably more so!
My OH and I did our degrees in Falmouth School of Art back in the dark ages (the 1980s!) and got married in North Cornwall so I used to be very familiar with that part of the world. Hope you are finding plenty to do despite the bad weather. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest?

Glad you're having a nice time Sylvi. Best of luck with getting your scooter fixed. I hope it doesn't spoil your fun. Wish I was there

Hi Sylvi,
Hope you get your scooter up and running again. Hopefully the weather will perk up.
hehehe ....The thought of Sylv broke down on the high street on a windy day with her dress blowing around her neck, I felt compelled to find her a possible solution lol
I can rely on you pete to make me smile. Who says i was wearing a dress!!!!
So sorry about the breakdown Sylvie. It's a pity you can't just call out the AA!
I used to spend all my summer holidays in St Ives and Carbis Bay when I was a child (Oh so many years ago now!) Also went to Boscastle a few years ago. Now that's a pretty place to visit.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.Scooter and weather permitting.
Having just been sacked from The AA in April I can speak with authority ... lol
A year or so ago I made that suggestion as we often received calls from scooter owners broke down, It was dismissed to due to health and safety reasons, which made sense at the time.
Last time I looked online for a solution, 12/18 months ago there was ONE site, there was no cover really. Looking recently there are lots now so lots of choice and the solution to the H&S issues, a taxi home!
But this is key really and something people need to look out for, apart from recovery of scooter to a repairer, it must be ascertained that the "taxi" is a "suitable" taxi for your needs.
If you can jump off your scooter and straight in to front seat of taxi then obviously not an issue, but if it is not as simple as that, then its an issue .
