Well you all know what i have done. Yes i overdid the walking. Its not just the walking but i'm suffering with my hands from the ra. I didn't sleep very well either. We went to the mobility shop in hinckley to get wheels for my work table and then we went to b&q to see if we could find wheels that doesn't have brakes on. Also we did some of the packing of my things and we cut my clothed down as well. I always take too much even after getting shot of some of them.
I have managed to get into the bath instead of sitting over it,what a joy it is to have a soak in a bath full of hot water. I always go to bed after a bath as i rest easier, but last night i didn't. So today instead of doing some things in the garden i will be resting.
Hope you all have a lovely day. xx

Oh Sylvi, no one cAn blame you for wanting to move forward with your life, don't beat yourself up. Take today as a trade , it's a lovely day to kick back and relax. You will feel better tomorrow if your kind to yourself today. Take care. Relax before your holiday. x
Yes take care today Sylvi, after all you did yesterday you will need to rest up.
Not long till your holiday, I bet you are counting the hours.
Enjoy the sun, I think it's meant to be fairly nice and warm today.
I can't do anything at all so resting is the only option. I've just had a good ole cry so i should soon start to feel a bit brighter. My hands are strpped up as well. I will be on here all day if anyone is fed up and want to talk. xxx
Hi Sylvi, firstly it's so good to hear that you are managing to really get going a bit. Unfortunately, as most of us know, the downside is the rubbish couple of days that follow! Keep your feet, up, forget things to do, and think of Cornish ice-cream, have a brilliant holiday, and touch wood, the wether looks promising. jennyxx
Hi Sylvi,
Just sitting down for a coffee break and to give my fingers a rest!
Doing a bit if window cleaning but I know I will regret it later!
I can't remember if you said, are you staying with friends or relations in Cornwall? I'm sure you will have a good time and just a change of scenery will do wonders, not to mention the ice cream and cream teas etc, making me feel hungry just writing about it.
We are off on a cruise in August, first time ever, hopefully it won't sink! Really looking forward to that, my hubby has young onset of Parkinsons, so we could both do with a bit of pampering lol.
We are staying in a bungalow, and i'm looking forward to a cornish pasty and clotted cream as well. Where are you going on your cruise? my son works on the cruise ships in the carribean. xx
We are starting off in Venice and going to Turkey and Greece, hopefully it will be a nice relaxing time for both of us.
I hope the weather will be kind to you in Cornwall, somewhere I have never been, we must do that sometime.
My fingers are telling me they have done enough cleaning for today, they are sore most of the time now but I suppose that's something we have go learn go live with!
Try and have a nap after lunch Sylvi, it will do you good.
Mary x
you picked a lovely day to have a rest. Did you enjoy your bath last night - i used to love having a bath now it is just the shower boohoo. You did well to get all that stuff done yesterday so i do hope you enjoyed relaxing in your garden tonight.
My george won't be back until october and i do miss him. I had another bath last night and enjoyed it very much. No i didn't go out into the garden instead i had a bath and got into bed, which i do a lot these days. Also my stairlift got me up the stairs but it won't let me down. An engineer is coming out today. Just to add insult to injury the top two places where my clips were are infected and it hurts. I have been putting hot water to try and bring the stuff out and i have kept a plaster on it for the same reason. I am down at my rheumy clinic today so i'll see what they have to say. xxx
Thank you allanah, that means a lot to me. I wish i could say that it will get easier in the short term, but sadly it won't,this is a long term recovery. The holiday should help as long as i get down there. I hope the weather improves for us all this next week. I am fed up with rain,my joints hate it.
I have ra clinic this morning so i will have a good chat with the nurse and my dr is there as well so if need be i can see him too. Then this afternoon i get my nails done. Its been six weeks since i last had nails on and i will be glad to have them done again.
Hi Sylvi, am envious of you going to Cornwall, I've never been. When I have a bath I sit across it, but when I go to my daughters, where her bath is shallow I can sit in it and its lovely, but where I've got water retention it feels like I'm sitting on bubble pack....... strange!! I'm finding it hard to come to terms with over doing things, changing my bed is a no no, hoovering, ironing, shopping and other jobs my daugthers do for me, I feel useless. Sorry for rambling on. Hope you take it easy today. Take care Ann x
Ann i know what your talking about as i've just come back from the hospital after seeing about my ra. I feel exhausted and so tired and hot that i can't be bothered for anything or anybody at the moment.
Cornwall is a lovely place to visit and if you can you want to go. I will be glad when i get down there so i can stop stressing.
Take care sylvi.xx
Take it steady! x
Sylvie, It's late here in Ohio, but I wanted to take this time to wish you a really wonderful, restful, happy, pleasant holiday. Cornwall sounds like a lovely place. Don't forget: P A C E !!! Love you,
