Not been on line for a wile, but have been thinking about you and hoping you are recovering well. I have to say that looks a very neat job, yes it's a big scar but the tissue is healing well - well done for being brave!!! x

Lovely neat clean scar Sylvie, considering how recent, hopefully you will be a new woman in time with less pain my sis is also doing well, bit slow, but sure in no rush.

Hi Sylvie, That looks so Painful, what did you have done, I dont think I know, I feel Bad for you, I hope you rest, You sound as if you are like me, and fight everything you are suppose to do, and Overdo everything, When I do though I PAY for it, usually that night or the next few days, Did that last week with some plant pots in courtyard, I try to behave, But It gets so boring resting all the time Hope you get well soon xx Lisa

Lisa, i had a revision of the knee. I had a previous knee replacement and it wasn't right,so i had to have it redone.I agree with what you have said i do exactly the same as you. I have been asleep as i didn't sleep very well last night.

Ooh when I read the title of your blog I opened it with some apprehension but it looks amazingly well healed in terms of scar tissue etc and I just really hope you do behave well enough for the important stuff inside to heal that neatly! Having been a lousy sleeper for ages I confess that I snooze most afternoons too so you're not alone! TTx

HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS for someone only four weeks out of surgery my psychio has said that i'm doing VERY well. He is very pleased with me. He settled my mind about the colour and other things i raised with him. I haven't got a yardstick to be guided by so i don't know if i'm doing well or not. I have to just keep doing what i'm doing with the exercises and i'll get there.He keeps reminding me that it is only early days.

Hi Sylvie, I've never had one op, so you are so brave to get it done twice, hope that eventually you will be jumping for joy! it must have been really painful at times. well done for keeping cheerful. love Carol

My advice to anyone contemplating any knee surgery give it a lot of thought. I have to admit at times i have said i wish i had never had the first op if i had known what i was going to be going through. This time it is very hard to recover. These ops when they go well are very succesful and people go on to have a great life after knee replacements. Its just a sad fact that some ops go wrong. There is light at the end of the tunnel for me and i can say that when i fully recover i will be walking around without pain.

I am resting today and i'm not going to the parade that my hubby and daughter are attending as i feel the weather will not help me recover. I wish i could have gone,but it is just stupid on my part at the moment to jepordise the all the good work i have put in to go and get wet and cold.

That's an impressive knee you've got there. I'm sorry you will have to miss the parade, It wil be hard for you but you've made a really sensible choice and would be devistated if it knocked back your recovery.

ps finally made it to my sister's after lots of tears from me feeling too tired to cope on my own. However, after only one night, I'm using her computer to check the blogs. Do you think there is a tiny chance I may be getting addicted to this site and checking out my new friends??

Judy if this is an addiction i think we have picked a good one. I had to give up alcohol ten years ago and yes i could almost say that it was an addiction as my mum died an alcoholic, mine was through ill health,but i have to say with what i have been through in the last three years i would be dead now if i had been drinking. So this site is a good addiction wouldn't you say.

Glad you got there safely,now think of the fun you'll all have even if its only sitting down with a drink and having a laugh. Thats good for the moral as well.

Hi Sylvi, that scar is looking good in such a short time. As you are relatively young your skin heals a lot quicker than mine would. That being said what matters is that your knee will (hopefully) be more useable and less painful given time to heal properly. Shame your sleep is still being disturbed at the moment but it's still very early days.

Judi,how old do you think i am,i like the idea that you think i fairly young. I am 56yrs old i don't think i'm that young,in my head i might be,but the body is a different matter altogether.

Your knee looks good! x. Had A good time in wet Stratford I was just recovering

from a flare up but managed ok got my mum belated birthday lunch and we shared a tea ans scone in the afternoon and did some shopping x we were eating during both downpours x

Just make sure they do a long leg x-ray. Also tell them if you are knock kneed as well i wish you good luck.xxx
