In addition to my unexplained bruising and weird blood findings for which I have now also bee referred to haemotologist I sometimes get these odd rashes. They're not really rashes because they're under the skin. My initial diagnosis of Undifferentiated Inflammatory Arthritis has now been confirmed three times by different consultants so am still under the care of rheumatology.
I think they are called petechiae and look like tinier versions of the single, much bigger reddish bruises I sometimes get. I have had the rashes as well, before but on my neck and never as widespread as this. It is also warm on the inside and to touch. Just came up while I was out shopping.

Hi Brychni. Could it be a reaction to something new - have you been using a different soap, shampoo, washing-up liquid etc or are you wearing new gloves?
Rash is listed as one of the side effects but strange, if it is that, that it's happened suddenly after all this time. Can you have a word with your GP or Rheumy nurse/doctor - maybe they can identify what it is and why?
Your skin, I wonder, have you ever been examined for Vasculitis? Your Haematologist will deal with Rheumatoid Vasculitis should it be that, just a thought, but I'd definitely show it to him.
Hi,I have the same sort of rash.it comes up intermittently.I need to put it on my list to discuss with consultants in January. Part of my diagnosis is Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease. I feel like giving up sometimes,it’s one thing after another.x
I have petechiae but it doesn’t look like that, I’m not sure if there are different types but mine is not general redness more individual dots. I wonder if you’ve reacted to something you touched whilst shopping seeing as it’s on your hands? I hope you find out what’s caused it.
Maybe it’s the hand sanitizer that you’re using when shopping it could be being absorbed into your skin and causing a reaction. The sanitizers contain a lot of chemicals and alcohol which would be absorbed and may be reacting to your meds. Just a thought but I’m sure haematology should get to the bottom of it. Could be that’s why your bloods are off too.
