I was hit by a high speed headache and nausea yesterday morning. Took to my bed and have just got up….. ye gods!!!!
Just when I thought things were getting better…. I don’t know what it was. I was due to take my MX last night but couldn’t face it, so will have to take it tonight. Have appointment with Dr this lunch time, she won’t like it ‘cos I have a job lot of stuff to discuss with her, and she will give me that withering look as if to say “we’ve been through this” I’m sure she thinks, look you got RA get over it! She just seems happy with the diagnosis and not the ongoing problems. It could be just my negativity taking over again. In the immortals words of my once rebellious 16 year old “WHATEVER”.
I didn’t even get a visit from Mr InBetweenJobs whilst I was in my sick bed. I suppose it was my daughter’s day off yesterday and she looked after me… can’t be too fussy I suppose. But a bunch of grapes might have been nice?
Any ways despite still feeling a bit “under the weather” I have to get myself over to the chickies, because we have our annual Vet check today. We pay him £140 and he tells us what a wonderful job we are doing, and tells us to give them some more of his tonic that he invented and patented and sells at an extraordinary price (but it does work), then he goes away again to his lofty veterinary pedestal in Bristol for another year. Money for old rope I say!
First of the lambs go to market this morning so Mr InBetweenJobs is off with number 1 son in his little truck to get his grubby hands on some more spondulucks, (don’t know how to spell it) to keep me in tablets.
It’s a bit of a “you-know-what” trying to keep positive when you have something that keeps reminding you not get above yourself …… speak soon me lovelies.
Julie xxx Take care

A day late wont hurt.. what dose diD you say you were on.??.ask gp/ CONSULTANT/ NURSE about folic every day except methotrexate day and for ant nausea medication... add this to your list.. also i would try methotrexate with food!!!, I took mine after breakfast.. lining stomach helps.. so I WOULD TRY after omeprazole and after breakfast.. or even after an early lunch.. these ideas are all meant to be practical advice and nausea preventing... anti sickess meds I recommend metoclopramide or ondanestron asK GP/ c]Consultant.. either can prescibe. these. have aged so much.. 38 year old friend my daughter???, im 46!!!, pain and grey hair ages.. nice brown hair dye and plenty of ant i wrinkle stuff now!!!

I shall be trying another stomach protector, the doc is contacting the Rheumy team I couldn't get hold of my nursey.
Hi Julie, yes I agree with Alison try altering when you take your MTX, I too take foilc acid every day except MTX day and it certainly helps with the headache and nausea doesn't go away completely but it is better, personally I hate the stuff and would love to come off it.
What's happened to Mr Shepherd?? is he Mr InBetweenJobs now?I cant keep up, or have you moved in another?? only kidding luv!
So sorry your not feeling well do hope the visit goes well with the GP today if not call rheumy nurse and get more advice I would. Nothing worse than a bad headache, I get them now and again, as soon as I get out of bad I can tell doesn't matter what I take it just lingers on all day and eventually am forced off to bed early, must be MTX. Something I just have to put up with now.
Take care chick!

Hi Mand
I take the folic acid every day except MX day and Omeprazole but the doc is going to contact my rheummy team to change it?
Yes MrShepherd is now MrInBetweenJobs, but he has just bought two lovely little calves at market yesterday because - wait for it - we had some calf milk left over and at nearly £50 per bag it was worth buying 2 calves to use it up (can't have one it will be lonely)! So it looks like he will be Mr Calfy for a couple of months!
Always something isn't there?! The headaches are awful and they alone make you feel sick, urgh. Hope you're feeling better today and that your wonderful GP listened and nodded and did everything possible to help you? Sending you virtual grapes...or whatever takes your fancy xx
