hello everyone

I tried to get my meds delivery altered but to no avail so was at hospital until this morning

My package was left on the step - does anyone know if the meds are now ruined? It was pretty chilly last night - around 6 Celsius and wet. I suspect I’ll have to seek replacement

thanks

I’m shocked to hear they were left on the doorstep. I’m with Sciensus and their courier has to hand them over to someone listed with Sciensus. Plus the fact this is medication, that could have got into the wrong hands. They should have just taken them away, and rearranged delivery. Although the temperatures dropped overnight, at the time they delivered, it would have been above the recommended 8 degrees. So I think you need to contact them, and hopefully they’ll send more out 🤗

hi

thanks - Sciensys were great to deal with but not so with php - no great flexibility in them at all

I've used one injection - it felt cold to be fair but will contact them today for replacement

Tnx

Most are fine for around 4 weeks at room temperature. My Benepali is ok for 31 days at 30 degrees. So depending on which one you have, you may be ok with another 1 or 2, as long as they don’t go back in the fridge

Hi, I was prescribed yuflyma last year and the instructions were that it should be stored in a refrigerator but can be kept at room temperature for up to 31 days (e.g. when travelling). So having it out of the fridge overnight shouldn't in itself be a problem.

However, the instructions do also say that once it's been kept at room temperature it needs to be used within 31 days even if later returned to the fridge.

It's definitely worth checking with the delivery company what to do - they may say that any doses you'll use within 31 days are ok but the others will need to be exchanged for new pens.

Pretty surprised they left it outside your house, though, because it almost guarantees there will be wastage. You might need to let your rheumatology team know too, because they'll probably need to reissue/re-authorise your prescription early and the hospital shouldn't really be charged extra due to a delivery error.

PHP are awful to deal with. Their call centre is in Tamworth, their Pharmacy is in Leicester and there doesn't seem to be much communication between them. They are not flexible on delivery times. Sciensus used to deliver on an evening or weekend because I work mornings. No chance with this company. Twice my husband has had to go to their pharmacy in his lunchtime to pick my Yuflyma. Last time I had to leave work early, losing pay. They said Sciensus use in house delivery that's why they can be more flexible where as they use a 3rd party delivery. The delivery driver said they can do weekend deliveries but PHP won't pay for them.
