Thank you for all your replies to my post re taking tocilizumab alone. I have today has a ftf appointment with the Rheumatology Nurse who went through all my medication. We had a long chat and she said as I have been stable for over a year since starting on Tocilizumab + MTX I can start tapering off MTX, I have to reduce tablets from 10mg to 7.5mg . She has made another appointment in 8 weeks time to see how I am getting on. I have blood tests at my GP's every 4 weeks and noticed that they had stopped requesting CRP with the FBC. I told her I had queried this with my surgery and was told it was not in my protocol. She arranged for another FBC with CRP whilst I was at the hospital and will be writing to my GP. She said the surgery was probably trying to save money!
