Not my month! Just had to postpone my Covid and flu jabs for the third time. In the last 5 weeks I’ve had the Norovirus, a kidney infection and now a stinking head cold (caught from my son) alongside a nauseous type bug (from my mother in law). Been off my mtx for a month trying to fight the above, then have been advised to stay off if ok to have jabs on 9/11.
Not great, as also started a new job 6 weeks ago. Feeling very run down, tired and achy with a fibro flare to throw in the mix too.
I haven’t had this level of bugs and infections for a long time 🥶😰😢😴🤧🤢
Anyone else catching more than usual?

I’ve had two positive COVID tests since July plus a string of other issues. Not least recurring flares - the most painful in years
I m pretty run down and stopping my meds as the rheumatologist feels they’ve failed moreover have lowered my immune system.
Now I m going to spend a few months eating and resting right plus taking naproxen or diclofenac to deal with any RA pain until ready for a new RA medicine
I’ve found my flares are the worst they’ve been for a long time too.
I should probably refocus on diet too, I find when I’m like this it is easier to lose my way! Good luck in finding a treatment plan that works for you.
Yeah me too I had covid 19th September which was mild which I’m quite relieved about as it normally knocks me for six. I had it in July too and that was a bad one. Have had a chest infection since and still have a hacking cough which I can’t shift for 3 weeks. Sick of feeling rough.
Seems to be a lot going around at the moment. Covid eventually found me in June, 1st time. I was awful for 48 hours and took a week of rest to get back to things. I do hope you manage to shift that cough soon. Take care
So sorry to hear this - me and my other half have kept clear of Covid until the beginning of October when I started with it/tested positive and other half a few days later - he has RA so fortunately has had full Covid vaccinations every 6 months and he wasn’t ill at all but I only get booster vaccines every year (last was Sept 23) and Covid has made me very ill - we both finally tested negative last week (3 weeks after positive test) and I am still ill - breathless/tired - I’ve now picked up a cold and feel so down - hope you feel better soon x
Ah bless you. I caught covid for first time in June. I had a terrible 48 hrs, despite being up to date on all the vaccines. Took a week to get back to some level of doing day to day stuff, but so tired!
Yes, am waking up in the morning feeling bunged up. Just about cleared by night time. It hasn't turned into a full-blown cold, and with osteoporosis, not sure what is causing the tiredness or if it's a "melting pot" of everything!! Would love to have a few days where I didn't experience the tiredness along with all the other symptoms. You have my sympathy, especially as you've started a new job, it must be a nightmare. Take care and good luck.
I think I’m just generally under par, and feel slightly more vulnerable to things at the moment. But having said that, locally there does seem to be a huge amount of bugs about.
I too find it difficult to work out what’s what! And yes the tiredness is horrible.
As an aside, my son, for a birthday present, brought me a personalised number plate. Where a lot of people have their initials I have ‘zzz’ as I’m always tired! 😴😴😴😂
That was thoughtful and made me smile. I think loads of us need a number plate like that shame they don’t do emoji’s on them as well. I think mine would just say blahhh.
