You could call your rheumy team for advice but you don’t have to inform anyone although people you’ve been close to, especially vulnerable ones ought to know. I hope it’s only mild and you’re well soon.
you should be eligible for antivirals, had to be started within 5 days of onset. You need to contact your gp or 111 out of hours, and they’ll organise it for you. Hopefully it will be mild 🤗. Your rheumatologist should be informed, and they’ll give you instructions for when you can restart your meds.
As I understood it you still should inform the GPs of positive results. But apparently these days they only want to know about very ill patients with COVID19, hope you soon recover. Take care
Ring 111 for antivirals. Get well soon 🍀
Thanks everyone. I rang 111 this morning and have jut had anti virals delivered. Excellent service
There's a lot of it about! I tested pos on Monday, phoned surgery, and had the antivirals by Tues. Fortunately I've not been that poorly, and it feels more like coming out of a cold by now ( day 5).I didn't take my MTX this week, as it was due the same day as I started the antivirals, and I'll probably give it a miss next week too as I've been OK with a 2 week gap before. I phoned rheumy help line for confirmation but haven't heard back yet.
