Afternoon all, hope you're enjoying the sunshine this weekend. I'm been having a bit of a flare and trying to get it under control.
Joint swelling seems to be coming down but my legs just ache all the time, anybody else have this?

Yes, I regularly get aching legs to go along with RA flares in my knees. Sometimes I have heavy legs, sometimes with nerve pain. It's tiresome, but I still try to walk daily, even if it's walking slowly, and I take pain relief when necessary to enable me to keep going. Ibuprofen gel and knee supports/tight leggings all help too.
Yep. Mine is usually one sided. Yesterday it was the right. I think it is to do with teh nerves in the lower back getting irritated by the inflammation.
Thank you for replying. I hadn't thought about it being a back problem, possibly I think this could be something to think about.
I found this blog really good at explaining the different types of pain related to the back shop.tomjesson.com/blogs/bl...
What a fantastic article, Cyberbarn. Thanks so much for posting this link….I do hope Mmrr sees it too!
I have RA and also periodically suffer from aching legs. I take a quality magnesium tablet and fine this helps ease the aches within the hour. That said we are all a little different and of course I can't guarantee it will work as well for you; but it may be worth a try as magnesium seems to bring calm to the nervous system. If you wish to try I recommend Primal Living magnesium as the quality is excellent.
oh interesting thank you. I’ve been told this is fibromyalgia- because the RA wouldn't cause these symptoms in my legs….
