I am 21 and recently my wrists and ankles have been aching at night once I'm in bed. I've been to the doctor's about it and had tests for arthritis done but they came back negative. Does anyone have any ideas about what it could be before I have to go back to the doctor's about it. I'd prefer not to at the moment.

Aching Wrists and Ankles at Night
Write up a pains diary . Keep a check on how you're sleeping etc , don't go overboard but get something down . When you see your doctor listen but more important ask questions with your diary as support . Wish you well 💐
Just because your blood tests are negative Doesnt mean it's not arthritis. Sometimes it does come back negative. So keep a diary if what hurts and when. If you get swelling or redness take photos. And go back if it happens again. Rhumatoid you tend to get stiffness of joint in the morning , pain, hot joints .
Hope you get some answers but the blood tests aren't the main symptom.
Rest your ankles on a pillow in the bed and also rest wrist higher on a pillow... Could be tenosynovitus , sounds like your tendons are aching.
My wrists ache alot especially at night and first thing in the morning but I 've got RA and not yet established on Mtx. I've heard you can have a negative test but still have RA! I would go back to your doctors, any swelling?
