Hi advice from anyone please? I’m on holiday in Egypt the End of the month and wondered if anyone had there vaccinations ie. Tetanus booster, hepatitis A, Typhoid booster. Just not sure if I should go ahead and have them any help I would appreciate? 😊 also I’m on Benapali drug.

vaccinations
Ask your GP practice nurse, she will have a book with all the necessary jabs needed for each country. But it do it now, because some jobs need a time period before you travel.
Only a doctor can give you this advice. Just make sure you tell them that you take Benpali (Etanercept)
I suggest getting in touch with your doctor as soon as possible to ask this advice. We are travelling to Asia at the end of this month and some of our vaccinations were recommended 6 weeks before travel. Have a great holiday 👍
I was about to add in don’t forget polio - I looked up what is advised and sure enough polio is on the list
ask your rheumatologist nurse they are the best to let you know xx
thank you for all advice 🤗
call a travel health clinic such as City Docs. They’re the experts. Your practice nurse will probably know very little about travel health. (If they even offer it as it’s not part of the Global Sum payment now)
Although I have not been to Egypt recently I have certainly had these vacs updated prior to going in the past. Your GP surgery will be able to check your vaccination history and advise you on what you need. I also avoided some foods, especially uncooked foods when I was there and used lots of hand sanitizer when out and about. Egypt is a fabulous place to visit but they do have lots of bugs that we don’t routinely have in the Uk hence we dont have the same immunity as Egyptians.
Hello remember to check they aren’t “live” vaccines as you can’t have them on biologics.
thanks again for reply’s
