About a Month ago I made a post about athletes foot and since then it hasn’t gone and gotten worse. I’ve been to the doctors and they gave me Terbinafine for a week and nothing has changed. It’s been now 2 weeks on it so an extra week than needed and it’s just still there. The thing that annoyed me is the doctor didn’t look at my toe and instead just took my word and gave me a strong antifungal cream, it’s no longer in between my toe and more just at the opening of the crack and around. I fly to America in 3 days for a week and currently nowhere near my doctor.
Any at home advice would be appreciated
Edit:
I did an e-consult with my doctors and they have prescribe me stronger anti fungal cream. I’ve been given it for 2 weeks so let’s hope it works 😊

are you taking any immunosuppressants? I have found that i cannot get over anything while on them. I had to come off my medicine for 5 weeks to get over a fungal infection because while i was on them treatment just wasn’t working
I’ always seem to be getting fungal infections (on a JAK Baricitinib). My podiatrist recommended Lamisil (you only spray it on once a day for 7 days ). I hope you get it sorted soon. Xx
Be careful with tea tree oil it may burn really badly on infected area , it’s very good at stopping you getting athletes foot though, Daktacourt cream was good as I think it was a bacterial infection when I had it bad
I had a sore on the outside of the bend in my knee, it kept getting worse & bigger & was absolute agony, the gp prescribed all sorts of fungal creams, steroid creams, antibiotics & nothing would shift it, they referred me to dermatology & in the meantime got the nurse to dress it, she used actilite dressings, it's manuka honey, I couldn't believe it, after months & months of nothing working this actually cleared it up!
It's expensive but I'm sure would have been cheaper in the long run if they'd used this in the beginning, I managed to buy a tube of activon from amazon, its medical grade manuka honey, its really sticky but I wanted it here as a backup incase I ever get anything similar again.
I am not a doctor, but that looks more like pompholx to me! It’s a type of eczema (dishydroytic) that can respond well to treatment. I used to get it, and it cleared up by using an iodine based antiseptic.
