So I seen my rheumatologist consultant yesterday he wants me to start amgevita as well as staying on 25mg of methotrexate as the methotrexate haven't cleared my symptoms. He is also sending me for an mri as he is convinced I have ankylosing spondylitis as well as peripheral which has been caused by my ibd. He sent me for a blood test to check for h27 gene. So ateast things are moving forward now. He said he wanted to hold of on sending me to the out surgeon for my hips until we see what the mri results say. I've got a feeling it could be a long wait for a bloody mrinscan right enough

Yeah my consultant is really good and on the ball I had done loads of research on ankylosing spondylitis as I knew it was linked to ibd so he didn't have to explain much lol

My Mri for AS took 4 months but at least your rheumatologist is on it and things are moving in the right direction. I'm on Amgevita, and i also have Ibd it's been a godsend Brian 🙂 Wishing you a speedy diagnosis and wishing you all the very best 😊

I got a call yesterday to say my appointment is on the 2nd May so grateful it's so quick. Awww so glad it has helped you kitten. I really pray that this is it for me. I've lost 2 years of my life I hope I can finally get some back

When did you get diagnosed with ibd kitten. I was 2 years ago then it took them 8 months to get it under control. I had many stays In hospital was a nightmare eventually mercaptopurine got it under control but then all the inflammation spread to every joint 😩😩😩

Hi Brian was diagnosed 15years ago with IBD then a year after that lupus now just diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis. Lucky white Heather 🙈 yes inflammation does spread to every joint its just awful. Like you i was in and out of hospital all the time with the IBD but I'm praying like me you get on the right drugs n get the disease under control you will feel like a new person when it works it's magic. So far for me no side effects praying it stays like that! So many people on here with similar stories and battles to fight we are so blessed to be able to share what we are all going through with each other . Wishing you all the best for your treatment 😊
