I'm in need of a car seat that I can unclip easily. I have zero strength or grip in my hands now and unclipping a car seat is difficult and I'm finding myself avoiding going out. My child is 2. Anyone know of any arthritis friendly car seats please?

Arthritis friendly carseat??
Are you asking about a child’s car seat as all the other seats are fitted when the car is made so hard to see how any can be changed and it’d be very difficult. If you think about it the air bags etc are designed with the seat so you’d need to talk to your cars manufacturer or garage. I’d suggest that with the greatest respect that you might need to talk to a mobility expert as it might involve safety issues and more modifications to steering etc.
Let me rephrase... I have a 2 year old and her car seat is getting difficult for me to unclip her belts on the seat.
do you need one that you can take in and out of the car or can you just have an isofix that’s clipped in and left there?
I need one that's suitable for a 2 year old and the belt on the seat is easier to unclip and tighten
oh ok of course now I get it! My RA started and kicked in when my youngest was about one or 2 so let me look back and think about what we used..
I've had this 21 years and has become unresponsive to meds the last year so everything is more harder to do
I feel your pain I’ve not been able to close my hands or open jars or bottles for a long time now. My youngest may be past the stage of car seats with harnesses but my oldest is disabled and wheelchair bound and the harness clips on her chairs kill me daily
Same here, my right hand doesn't close at all. Few snapped tendons and a finger pointing in the wrong direction🙈 I managed to get help with jars, with an electric opener and bottle I was given this red sheet stuff by OT that is used for gripping, that's a game changer. I'm hoping it's just because the seat is old that they are stiff and I can find a suitable replacement
your best bet is to go to a shop and try them all out, might be a bit of a chore but you can’t guarantee that what anyone on here finds easy you will too. This is what I always do when buying anything. I hope you find one.
I think there's 1 shop where I live to try them so I know what I'm doing this weekend. Thank you
good luck, it might even be worth seeing if you can just put the seat in your car( not fixing it in) just so you can try to undo it whilst reaching into the car bent over. 🤞🏻
I would second going to a shop. I know Halfords used to do a fitting service when they brought in the new laws when my son was just growing out of car seats. We had a bit of trouble finding an appropriate one not because of the difficulty of my hands, but because I was driving a VW Beetle at the time!
