Hi Eva and welcome. I was told not to have the Covid vaccination within two weeks of a steroid injection as it may reduce the efficacy of the vaccine. So I suggest you delay your vaccination but check with your GP or Rheumy nurse to be sure.
They advise to leave a gap of two weeks. I had an appointment last week and my rheumatologist was going to give me a steroid injection but I told her I was getting the vaccine that afternoon. She said I couldn't have the steroid injection so she gave me oral tablets to start once the two weeks is up.
I have recently had a steroid injection and the paperwork stated not to have covid vaccine within 2 weeks before it after. A friend was actually turned away from his vaccination for that very reason.
