He’s not supporting them Svlvie but trying to stop the boats. It’s a problem that the previous government could not stop so it’s going to be an uphill battle.

But if we don’t stop the boats the NHS will be looking after the occupants of those boats instead of caring for us!

If the government can provide more legal avenues for people who want to come and work in this country we might be able to staff our nursing homes. (The wages they get put off anyone else!). If there are legal ways to come, and to work, the awful profiteering criminals who put people's lives at risk will be out of business. Currently the low wages, and lack of legal ways to come, prevent legal immigration and encourage the desperate fleeing persecution to pay large sums of money to come in an overcrowded inflatable boat.

Try living near the coast! I’ve seen boats come ashore and tbh would have and think the Navy should turn them back. It a hot topic and they don’t do it because of a lack of legal routes either. They are bar the odd one or two young fit men with no passports but keep the cigarettes and iPhones. It’s a scandal here, we wait to see a doctor in hospital and see huge numbers of young men with one minder. Why well there’s no risk of escape and no one knows what Criminal records they have. Bits of our local towns are dangerous , knife crime is high and driving crime off the scale. It’s frightening so many real refugees can’t get here but jump on a rubber dingy and suddenly the person has a right of entry. I’m sorry but living in the south we see so many problems caused by illegal entry and it has to be stopped. This is an issue that has to be resolved because the UK can’t just take all who want to come in. They are talking about it today in Scotland and I hope that things will change so less die in the channel and the traffickers get stopped.

If only the ‘left wing’ hadn’t wrung their hands at the idea of sending the illegal migrants to Rwanda the previous government might have had success, even more ironic as now Germany is on the verge of doing exactly that and many European countries are refusing entry.

Then when you think of passengers and crews in the past who have hit the headlines for refusing to fly what turned out to be some really sleazy criminals back to their own countries.

There is something very wrong when it is mainly droves of healthy young men who are arriving here by dinghy complete with smart trainers and mobile phones and then sit around all day. I’d say we are aiding and abetting criminal gangs then picking up the bill while the U.K. goes further downhill.

So I’m not surprised you feel as if we don’t mean anything - I don’t think we do.

Well, I'm one of the "left wing"....

🤣 Well, that’s life isn’t it. Some of my best friends are and so is my son but not dealing with the problem is just enabling people trafficing.

It annoys me that it’s almost all young men while women and girls in places like Afghanistan are living in indescribable conditions.

AgedCrone profile image

And as Afghanistan is regarded as an unsafe country we can’t return these young men back there!

But if the will was there - the gangs who facilitate these young men could be arrested & put out of action. So either France who gaily wave off these boats towards our shores has a useless police force, or they turn a blind eye……& send little old GB…..all the passengers on those boats that have no right to live in any European country.

Aided and abetted by Germany who is now apparently benefiting from the £zillions we paid to Rwanda!

If only we had politicians with brains & didn,t want everyone to lurve them……we might get somewhere!

I’m not sure many of the young men arriving here are from Afghanistan and a lot of them come from countries that are not at war - however it is appalling what is happening to women and girls in Afghanistan - it appears now that they aren’t even allowed to speak to each other in public.

To think they were making progress towards living semi normal lives and were being educated etc. it is a crying shame that men are allowed to subjugate w9men and girls like that. It is just appalling.

I am appalled that Germany is now benefiting from all the money the U.K. spent - and as it seems to be turning out wasted - to try and sift out the genuine refugees from the economic migrants - while being blocked from every angle.

By allowing them into the country in those numbers we are doing nothing more than aniding and abetting people trafficking.
