I have a flare up of arthritis I am due to have my booster next week is it safe

During a flare you are more likely to be ill with Covid. Whether to have your vaccine booster does depend a bit on what treatment you are having for your flare. It's a bit of a fine balance between risking infection by not having the booster and not getting a satisfactory response to the vaccine because of the treatment you need for the flare.

It might be sensible to take extra precautions (mask, social distancing, good ventilation, extra handwashing, etc).

thanks for replying, I wasn't aware you can get treatment for a flare ,I just take paracetamol. And my hydroxychloroquene & Sulfasazine

It's always worth contacting your rheumatology team. The specialist nurse is usually the point of contact. If the flare is severe a steroid injection or a course of tablets might be given. In any case, your rheumatology team should know about your flare in case different medication is needed longer term.

Hi, I had 7 boosters and no bad effects from Covid boosters. I have PMR and Melanoma which is now stable. Having Covid and PMR is not funny to my understanding. Grasp the opportunity in my opinion
