I doubt they’d replace them just because you don’t like them after 3/4 years, just be grateful you get them free 😊

I shouldn’t have thought so, but of course if your hearing has deteriorated in the years since it might be a way of bringing the question up. Are those from places like Specsavers Audiology not an option Paul if you dislike the NHS ones, the starting price ones I mean? I appreciate of greater importance is the sound quality but it might be worth investigating those & others available on the high street.

I found this on the NHS site

But while several modern hearing aids are available on the NHS, these are usually the BTE or, very occasionally, the RITE type. You may need to pay for private treatment if you want one of the other types nhs.uk/conditions/hearing-a...

I was told you are due replacements every five years, but like eyes your hearing can change & I think then they would change the programme….but in the same hearing aid.

i just got New ones and was told my old ones are now discontinued and all the hearing aids are replaced after 3 years. I go to Specsavers whom I rang to have them looked at as I was having problems hearing. The radiologist retested me and there were no changes but she said the aids stop working after so long which is why they are replaced every three years besides the fact the ones I had have been discontinued and replaced with better ones. Which they are much better.

If you don’t like them because they aren’t working properly, they can update the program and improve your hearing experience. If you don’t like the look of them I’m afraid I don’t think that would qualify a replacement. If your looking for more discreet ones, you unfortunately tend to have to go the private route.

Had mine replaced recently at Specsavers, I was told the same as Luisa1987 they stop working properly after so long, I can adjust the new ones with an app on my phone (well I could if I could remember how to use it) Hope you get something sorted.
