I’m new to Benepali supplied by Sciensus. I agree the company is chaotic, but more seriously when I was concerned about side effects after three weeks on this drug I contacted the nurses via their helpline and only got an answerphone. I left a message but nobody has responded yet after three days. My symptoms are chest pain under left arm, deterioration of vision, exhaustion and aching all over. I’ve now contacted my hospital and been advised to discontinue Benepali. I’ve been checked for heart and eye problems, thankfully negative. Has anyone else had similar worrying side effects?

Sciensus problems
It gave me a lot of UTI's so stopped last year although it did work well on the RA with no other side effects. The meds are such a lottery....
sorry no I only had the usual stuffed up nose and sinus/head problems which went after a few weeks. I hope you’re back to normal now you’re not taking Benepali.
If your rheumy dept has a helpline or emergency email I’d always try there first I in future rather then Sciensus as they are often very slow to even answer the phone. Your GP should know of the symptoms too I feel. Glad the hospital got back to you.
I agree with Neonkittie it’s always best to speak with your team first. They have your full history and list of other meds taken, that could potentially interact with your biologic. If your rheumatologist is slow to respond, your GP can contact the on call rheumatologist for advice. Hope your side effects are subsiding niw you’ve stopped 🤗
hi
at first I had awful sinus problems and nose bleeds. A bit dizzy and actually fell over at one point. But I stuck it out with Rheumatologist saying those side effects are nothing to do with benapali.
Had bloods done all ok. After a while it was all ok. It works brilliantly on my RA but lately getting alot of bladder infections but think thats nothing to do with the benapali.
Keep on at your Rheumatologist nurse and get some answers.
Good luck
Started Beni last Feb. No problems. If I did have a problem I wouldn't have contacted Sciensus but gone straight to my rhuemy dept.I don't find them choatic but I understand some people have had a different experience.
