thank you for all your messages and advice I decided not to wait till Thursday to go to the hospital.
it seems I have two deep scratches on my left eye and 1 on the right the drops with steroids in had aggravated them.they are also infected. I had a thorough check up and was given antibiotic cream. If there is no change in 3days i have to go back.

That’s very good to hear, glad you had a good result - hopefully there will be big changes (for the better) and you won’t have to go back. Look after yourself.

Well done for biting the bullet and going to the hosp today. I really think that was the right thing to do. Hopefully you feel re-assured for having done so too.
I'm making an assumption that the scratches are possibly on the cornea? If so, then they will be very painful as the cornea is very sensitive. The good news is that now, with the right treatment, these kinds of things can heal quickly (I've had similar as part of various eye issues I've had). I would be very hopeful that within 3 days things will be feeling a lot more comfortable.

Glad to hear you are being sorted now, well done for going. I hope the scratches are soon healed. I've had cornea scratches and they healed, I'm sure yours will too.
