Roll on summer

It’s now a year ago since I was diagnosed with AS although most of my inflammation and pain is in my other joints elbow, collarbone, heals, big toes that hasn’t settled down. I have taken methotrexate since April and just had my rheumatologist appointment cancelled twice.

So frustrating when they cancel. I hope you get to see them soon and yes, roll on summertime !!

I had mine cancelled in November and haven't been offered another one yet🙄 I haven't seen my consultant since March 2020 just before the first lockdown . And it's a year since I saw the nurse. I hope you get seen soon.

Than you. I don’t know why it makes you feel better when you know we are all in the same boat 🤦‍♀️

If you feel you really need to be seen then let them know. If they don't hear from you they probably assume you're coping. I had my appointment cancelled 4 times once. I told them to stop giving me appointments because the cancellations were disruptive and preventing me from seeking care elsewhere. Suddenly an appointment became available the following week.

That’s good to know. I never thought of ringing the nurse I hadn’t realised that you can just do that. I’m still on a learning curve. Love the advice and support from all you guys on this site. Thank you

Agree with Frances if struggling phone them, otherwise they assume your doing ok. I to have AS and had a similar issues with the peripheral pains. A simple increase in my MTX sorted it out from 20 to 25mg, along with a steroid injection in my shoulder.
