Ooh. Not great to have a rotten cold in this heat and rising humidity. Hope it clears soon and your joints settle.

Gosh my grandfather used to smoke woodbine and that was long ago in the days when they only had a candle for central heating, and when it was cold they even used to light it lol.

I’ve had a stinking cold which has left me with a horrendous cough. I sound like I’ve been smoking Woodbines for 50 years (and I’m only 55!)!!

I haven’t had one like this in many years, and my joints haven’t been happy either!

Wishing you a speedy recovery x

Sorry to hear you're suffering with an awful cold Jillyanne - get well soon! Not sure if it's relevant, but about 6 weeks ago I thought I was starting with one as I started sneezing a lot and had a very irritable nose/sore eyes. After two weeks of no improvement and thinking that a cold wouldn't last that long, a friend who's a life-long hayfever sufferer suggested I might have it - this had never even crossed my mind as, at 62, I'd never suffered with hayfever before but now I think she was right. I bought antihistamine tablets and Beconase nasal spray, which have considerably eased the symptoms over the past month but they came back with a vengeance when I tried stopping the treatment. Perhaps unfairly, I'm blaming my Methotrexate injections for 'giving' me hayfever as an additional side-effect!!

It’s defi not hay fever because Mark had his cold first but I hope you feel better soon
