Hi everyone haven’t posted for a while, I had a covid fit to fly test yesterday was going to Portugal with daughter and grandchildren, had results back this morning positive!

I’ve got no symptoms what so ever now I’ve got to isolate for 10 days

Waiting to hear back from hospital about stopping my meds.

Have anyone else tested positive?

Aww, I'm really sorry to hear that Cindy, how very disappointing. I hope all will be well and that any symptoms you may get will be very mild. All the best. x

What test was it? It might be worth getting another.

What rotten luck, these tests are more accurate than the other ones, but id get another one done just in case. I’m dreading that happening to me, it would be so disappointing. I’ve had five flights cancelled since the pandemic. Sending hugs 🤗 xx

Oh I’m so sorry to read this! Go to get a PCR test at local drive in if you can get one & get results back on time. Trouble is I guess if it’s negative it won’t count for travel. I’m gutted for you. Hope you stay with no symptoms. Take care. X

Oh no! What a shame. You didn't say when you should be flying. Have you time to go to a drive in pcr testing place. They take about 24 hours for results. Lateral flow tests are not very accurate. I know this isn't helping your situation just now but it could easily have said negative and let you fly when you were positive. That would have been far worse.

What awful timing ! I'm so sorry that its a positive result but very glad you have no symptoms yet and hopefully thats how it continues. Have you been double jabbed as if you have surely the isolation period has now been reduced so could you still go if allowed in ?

I have also had a NHS PCR test which was also Positive so 10 days in for me

Still feeling good and still no symptoms so I guess I’m lucky, I think the isolation period is being reduced to 5 days but not in time for me

Thanks everyone xx

I'm really sorry to hear this Cindy. Is there any chance that you could book a flight and join your family later...of course if you are symptom free. Even three or four days together might be worth it. Just sheet rotten luck! God Bless, x
